Frank’s Custom Prostreet
This custom was built at another shop. Frank noticed after riding the bike, that it was a real handful at low speeds. After some measuring and figuring, we found that the trail was way out of the acceptable range. We decided the best way to deal with the problem was to replace the front end, adding 6 degrees of rake in the triple trees to reduce the trail to an acceptable number. Once the front end was installed, we now had a new problem, the handlebars hit the gas tank. This bike would need a custom set of bars to make everything work really well, so off to the pipe bender we went and made up a new set of bars. We decided that it would be nice to paint the bars to match the rest of the bike and tie them into the paint scheme. The bike turned out really well and Frank is now able to enjoy riding his custom instead of it being a challenge.
