Walter’s 06 Fatboy

In Progress Build

Walter met North Jersey Customs at a bike show a couple of years ago. He told us that he had this brand new 06 Harley Fatboy with 22 miles on it. He had some work done at another shop that went out of business while the bike was apart. Walter took the bike and pieces back to his garage and put it back together the best he could. He wanted something more than just another average Fatboy though, this is where North Jersey Customs comes into play. Walter showed up at the shop one day full of ideas and paint colors, after a short while, we were on to a complete make-over. We disassembled the bike, stretched the tank, shaved the gas guage, installed a pop-up cap, custom built a rear fender, swapped out the front fender for a custom one and that was just the start. Then Walter saw some pictures of some bikes with air suspension, well he had to have it, in went the CCCS Simplified Air Suspension kit. This wasn’t wild enough though, Walter calls the shop wondering if the front can be air operated as well, yep, sure can! Off Comes the already lowered front end and on goes the AS Air Raid Chrome front end. What a look this bike has now, sits about 1 1/2 inches off the ground in the lowered position, almost looks like it’s right smack on the floor.

You will have to check back to see where this bike goes from here, we’re working on a few special items at this point and then it will be on to paint.
